Investments in SIF are made through the purchase of shares of investment vehicles (e.g. SICAV, SICAF, funds) that:
- Specifically pursue a social and environmental impact, featuring explicit references in their corporate documents (by-laws, regulations, etc.)
- Invest directly in companies that pursue a social and environmental impact
- • Actively participate in the development of the activities of the companies in which they invest (Venture Capital approach)
Among the assessment criteria, besides the capacity to generate social impact and the potential for economic sustainability, the Foundation will pay particular attention to the compliance with ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, Governance), contributing to their promotion and dissemination. In any case, the activity of granting financing or any other activity reserved for financial intermediaries under the law is excluded.
