Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore

SharryLand was founded in 2017 in Padua as an S.r.l. and innovative start-up, and in 2020 it became a Benefit Company. In operation since November 2019, it has created a national platform as well as a mobile app which features a social marketplace, wiki, search engine and community tools.

Its operating model is based on 3 pillars: to digitalize and create storytelling around the naturalistic and cultural heritage of rural areas through its “Map to discover the Wonders of Italy”; to put online and connect residents, travelers, cultural and economic operators and local authorities who are located in the areas around the “Wonders”; and to supply them with useful digital tools to facilitate the match between supply and demand of experiences, events, services and products.

From today, SharryLand can count on the support of Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore which has invested €200,000 in equity in the company. Specifically, the increase in capital came about as part of “Impact4Art”, an “impact” fund of €1Mln to support the recovery of the Art and Culture sector, which was launched in early 2022 by FSVGDA in synergy with Fondazione Cariplo.

The integrated system of sharing places, experiences and services enables the creation of synergies between the territory and its cultural and economic stakeholders, giving concrete support to individual local realities and creating networks and connections at a national level. SharryLand’s proposal, therefore, intends to overcome the concept of political boundary in favor of the broader idea of “territory”, which expresses its identity through its naturalistic and cultural heritage, traditions, history, events, and typical products. SharryLand gives impetus to local economies and fosters new employment by creating innovation models that are inspired by transparency and responsibility. It supports forms of sustainable, resilient, and quality tourism, offering a wide range of services to operators and local communities. To date, SharryLand has already published more than 2,500 original pieces of content (the most popular categories being: History, Nature, Villages, Flavors, and Art) and is constantly growing thanks to the contribution of many “storytellers”, who so far number more than 600 throughout Italy. Since the beginning of the year, it has reached an audience of more than 2,000,000, with an average of 60,000 page views per month. It has entered into collaborations and partnerships with Municipalities, LAGs, Regions, Foundations, Associations, Entities and Companies throughout Italy.
